An exploration of how perceptual experience flows between the digital and the instrumental. The double bass's sound and the player's gestures become data that drive image and electronic sound, so that instrument and electronics each "become the other," reconstructing bodily memory across different times and spaces.
Spatial sound design for a YiLab × Su Wen-Chi work, using a multichannel ambisonic-and-stereo configuration, touring with the production across three cities.
A collaborative installation and performance combining beam loudspeakers with spatial sound, presented at C-LAB Sound Festival.
Taking breathing — one of the few bodily functions that can be switched between conscious and unconscious control — as its object of observation. The work combines tuba performance with electronic sound, real-time generative image, and spatial audio to explore the nature of breath in wind playing and its exchange with electronic sound.
Inspired by light's dual nature as particle and wave, translating data into visual language dispersed through space. Generated entirely through code with the pixel as its unit, the work uses smart contracts to fix hash values, yielding over two hundred visual outcomes; under dome projection, pixels are broken into individually moving particles, reconstructing the interplay of sound, light, and space — letting the viewer "see" the shape of sound and "hear" the afterimages on the retina.
Its extension, Quantum of Time Inside Light, used a 14-metre ground projection and a 360° circular projection space, premiering at the U108 space of the National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts (2023 Taiwan International Light Festival).
